The Grand Wailea's luau was named to USA Today 10Best's Best Lūʻau in Hawaiʻi list for 2025. It runs about 2 hours 45 minutes on the resort's oceanfront lawn facing Wailea Beach. You sit at a private table, eat a three-course family-style feast, drink from a hosted open bar, and take part in an interactive hula lesson before an imu ceremony and a show that ends in fire.

Te Au Moana (Wailea Beach Marriott)
Te Au Moana means “the ocean tide.” It runs on the Marriott's oceanfront lawn looking across the ʻAlalākeiki Channel toward Kahoʻolawe. You get a fresh flower lei, pre-show music, a three-course dinner served at the table, an open bar, and a revue covering Hawaiʻi, Tahiti, Fiji and Samoa that ends with a fire knife dance.

Best budget option in South Maui
Aloha Wailea Luau
Aloha Wailea runs Wednesday evenings only at Mulligans on the Blue, above the Wailea golf courses. Doors open at 5:30 PM for an artisan market and pre-show activities including lei-making, ʻukulele, and Hawaiian games. A Hawaiian feast and open bar follow, then an hour-long hula and fire-knife show.
- Price: about $160 general admission and $209 VIP. Kids 6–12 are about $100, and kids 5 and under are free.
- Choose it if: you are staying in Wailea or Kīhei and want a luau for about half the resort price.
Does the Four Seasons Maui have a luau?
The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea does not stage its own luau on the property. Its concierge books guests into a “Family Luau” about 5 minutes' drive away, with communal tables and a coursed family-style menu. Kids 5 and under are free. What about the Fairmont Kea Lani and Hotel Wailea?
Neither runs a public luau in 2026. Their guests usually go to Te Au Moana or the Grand Wailea, both a few minutes' drive or shuttle away.
Wailea vs Ka'anapali: should you drive?
If you are staying in Wailea or Kīhei, Ka'anapali luaus are 60–75 minutes away each way, so driving back in the dark after an open bar is a real drawback. A Wailea luau usually wins on logistics even at a higher price.
